PDA Self In Community : Leisure Time Activites
This course enables you to gain an access level to physical fitness and nutrition by carrying out two leisure time activites. This course will involve working in pairs, working on your own and carrying out an element of self study. Our experienced assessors will always be on hand to carry out professional discussions within groups and allow for feedback and underpinning knowledge questions.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
The award is designed to complement the HNC/HND in Fitness, Health and Exercise. It would not be possible for learners to gain access to the Register of Exercise Professionals at Category 3 without this. Learners already in possession of an HN award must have the Unit D9T6 34: Plan, Teach and Evaluate a Gym Based Exercise Session.

PDA Personal Training
This qualification is aimed at those currently within the industry with either a Level 2 or Level 3 accredited qualification that are looking to carry out CPD or for those currently out with employment that would like to refresh their skills and would benefit from this course to allow for CPD through SQA.

This qualification is aimed at the learner who wants to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a fitness instructor in the context of gym-based exercise.
Throughout the course the candidates will learn:

This may include young people in the 14-16 age range, provided they are part of a larger adult group. Client groups also covered are older adults, ante and postnatal clients and disabled clients provided the relevant contraindications and key safety guidelines are observed
